CHRISTINA MILLER ERNST
Ernst is president of Miller Construction Co. of Vincennes. She serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Ambanc Corp., and the Board of Directors of the Vincennes University Foundation.
She also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Line Builders, a chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association', and the Board of Trustees of the Line Constructors Benefit Fund, a national health and welfare trust fund.
Ernst, a lifelong Vincennes resident, received her associate's degree from Sullens College in Bristol, VA. She earned her bachelors degree with distinction and her masters degree in education from Indiana University. After graduating, she returned to Sullens College as an assitant director of admissions and in 1972 accepted the same position at VU.
In 1976, Ernst returned to Indiana University as part of the master's of business administration program after the unexpected deaths of her father and brother. In 1980, she joined the Miller construction company, a third generation family owned company founded by her grandfather in the 1920s. The firm primarily constructs electrical power lines for utility companies in a multi-state area. Ernst is a member of the Vestry of St. James Episcopal Church, and the Tri Kappa Sorority. She also is a member of the Young Presidents Organization, an international association of individuals who became president of a corporation before the age of 39. She married Thomas Ernst in 1972,and they have a 13year old daughter, Elizabeth,
