JOHN JOSEPH SUMMERS

Summers graduated from VU and Evansville College (now the University of Evansville) with a degree in industrial engineering.

He served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1952-54 then returned to Vincennes.

He began working at Hamilton Glass in 1954 as a process engineer. He and four associates bought the company in 1981 from National Gypsum and Summers was named president.

After selling the company in 1986, Summers devoted his time to the community and church activities.
