Clark Academic Boosters

• The Clark Academic Boosters (CAB) is parents, teachers, and administrators who provide support to positively impact student performance and achievement at Clark Middle School. We are a group supportive of the academic success of all CMS students. By becoming a member, you are welcome to attend Clark Academic Boosters meetings at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month. By attending the meetings you will have a voice in the group’s decisions and plans for the current school year.
• Clark Academic Boosters presents Nine Week Awards to all students who improve their GPA from one grading period to the next, are on the Honor Roll, or have a 4.0 GPA. In addition to assisting with the Nine Week Awards distribution, our parent volunteers help with Book Fairs, the Reality Store, and Teacher Appreciation Days. In addition, we provide Seedling Grants for the faculty to better serve our students and host the Annual CMS Academic Awards Night which is held in May each year.
• In the past Clark Academic Boosters has helped support academic teams, equipment purchases, Westward Expansion, Restaurant Rally learning units, and sponsor the faculty volleyball tournament. Clark Academic Boosters was also fundamental in starting the After School Tutoring Program at Clark and initially funding the program.
• Volunteers put in as much time as they choose. Members can choose to just pay the membership dues to help support the Clark Academic Booster projects and not volunteer. While volunteers can do things such as, bringing in food for Teacher Appreciation days, selling books at the Book Fair, or helping with bulletin board decorations.
• Box Tops for Education are a major source of income for Clark Academic Boosters as well as member dues. This money is spent on providing Seedling Grants for the teachers to facilitate special classroom projects to improve our students’ academic enrichment at Clark Middle School. We will also be sponsoring two after school movie events and our third annual faculty volleyball game in the spring. Please join us as we strive to provide the best for all our children.
