Luck is a losers excuse for a winners success

Quite often we change jobs, friends and spouses instead of ourselves.

Happiness is a decision, not an experience.

Write your life the way you want to.. life is a book .. each day is a day which you can't rewrite

You can complain that roses have thorns; or rejoice that thorns have roses.

The greater a man's soul, the deeper he loves.

It is easier to do a job right than to explain why you didn't.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true
beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But here was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that this was my life. This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way

Its not the critic who counts, nor the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of the deeds could
have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errors and comes short again and again; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotions and spends himself in a worthy cause; who at least knows in the end the triumph of his achievement, and who at worst, if he fails, at least fails while doing greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory or defeat.

You know, all mystics -Catholic, Christian, non Christian, no matter what their theology, no matter what their religion -- are
unanimous on one thing: that all is well, all is well. Though everything is a mess, all is well. Strange paradox, to be sure. But, tragically, most people never get to see that all is well because they are asleep. They are having a nightmare.

I have a thought...the one God has meant for us is going to be the hardest to get, the hardest to keep, and the hardest to accept. Because through all that, love will grow stronger, bonds will become thicker, and the future will become more clear. Love wasn't made to be easy, otherwise, we wouldn't end up with the RIGHT person, we would end up with the first one who came along. By struggling, we single out the wrong ones and realize who really is the ONE

The trick is in what one emphasizes...We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.

At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict, or not closing one
more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent.

You gotta dance like nobody's watching, dream like you will live forever, live like your going to die tomorrow and love like it's
never going to hurt.

Somewhere there is someone who dreams of your smile, and finds in your presence that life is worth while, so when you are
lonely, remember it's true, somebody, somewhere, is thinking of you.

To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world.

Be who you are and say what you feel cause people who mind don't matter, and people who matter don't mind.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off
the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.

Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened.

A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

A real friend is someone who walks in, when the rest of the world walks out.

You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

We don't stop playing because we grow older, we grow older because we stop playing.

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.

The more of the past you carry around, the less of the present there is room for.

If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere.

To be a star you must follow your own light, follow your own path, and never fear the darkness, for that is when the stars
shine the brightest.

The greatest weakness of most humans is their hesitancy to tell others how much they love them while they're alive.

The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate
troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.

A Decalogue of Canons for observation in practical life:
1. Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today.
2. Never trouble another for what you can do yourself.
3. Never spend your money before you have it.
4. Never buy what you do not want, because it is cheap; it will be dear to you.
5. Pride costs us more than hunger, thirst, and cold.
6. We never repent of having eaten too little.
7. Nothing is troublesome that we do willingly.
8. How much pain have cost us the evils which never have happened.
9. Take things always by their smooth handle.
10. When angry, count ten, before you speak; if very angry, a hundred.

Suddenly, quietly, you realize that - from this moment forth - you will no longer walk through this life alone. Like a new sun
this awareness arises within you, freeing you from fear, opening your life. It is the beginning of love, and the end of all that came before.

Do what you have to do to succeed, along life's journey there will be tiffs and snags. But if you let the little things bother you.
the roads going to be full of hawthorn trees.

True friendship multiplies the good in life and divides it's evils. Strive to have friends, for life without friends is like life on a
desert island. To find one real friend in a lifetime is good fortune; to keep him is a blessing.

Reality is what we take to be true.
What we take to be true is what we believe.
What we believe is based on our perceptions.
What we perceive depends on what we look for.
What we look for depends on what we think.
What we think depends on what we perceive.
What we perceive determines what we take to be true.
What we take to be true is our reality.

If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.

You don't know me until you've walked in my footsteps and viewed the world from my perspective. You don't know me until
you've suffered my pain and endured my happiness. You don't  know me until you've bored my soul and died my death

We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust,
sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that
reveals the human spirit.

If you don't have a dream, how are you going to have a dream come true?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure about you.
We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks about changing themselves.

When you plant lettuce, if it does not grow well, you don't blame the lettuce. You look for reasons it is not doing well. It may need fertilizer, or more water, or less sun. You never blame the lettuce.

Yet if we have problems with our friends or family, we blame the other person. But if we know how to take care of them, they will grow well, like the lettuce. Blaming has no positive effect at all, nor does trying to persuade using reason and arguments.
 

That is my experience. No blame, no reasoning, no argument, just understanding.

Before you talk about what you want - Really appreciate what you have before it's gone.

When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you
see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.

In the end we'll remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

Falling Doesn't Make You a Failure, Staying Down Does

Pain is only weakness leaving your body, so don't give up because it hurts keep going cause it makes you stronger

When you wonder why it is you are with who you are with, remember the moment you fell in love and it will all come back
to you.

The hardest part of all is learning to be a well of affection, and not a fountain; to show them we love them not when we feel
like it, but when they do.

One should guard against preaching to young people success in the customary form as the main aim in life. The most important motive for work in school and in life is pleasure in work, pleasure in its result, and the knowledge of the value of the result to the community.

The most important issue is your spiritual growth. This is your real life.

At night turn everything over to God, and rest in His arms till morning.

Its not the ups and downs that make your life difficult, its the way you choose to deal with them.

People are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

Prayer is the greatest power in the world.

Since you alone are responsible for your thoughts, only you can change them. You will want to change them when you realize that each thought creates according to its own nature. Remember that the law works at all times and that you are always demonstrating according to the kind of thoughts you habitually entertain. Therefore, start now to think only those thoughts
that will bring you health and happiness.

To worry is like rocking in a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but gets you nowhere.

The most precious possession that ever comes to a man in this world,is a woman's heart.

You wouldn't worry so much about what people really thought of you if you knew just how seldom they actually do.

Let go of whats gone

Obstacles are challenges for winners and excuses for losers.

Don't take life too seriously. no one gets out alive, anyways.

True love lasts forever.

Know the truth. and the truth shall set you free.

Religion is for people afraid of going to hell, spirituality is for people who've been there!

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

To find out what you love to do demands a great deal of intelligence; because, if you are afraid of not being able to earn a livelihood, or of not fitting into this rotten society, then you will never find out. But, if you are not frightened, if you refuse to
be pushed into the groove of tradition by your parents, by your teachers, by the superficial demands of society, then there is
a possibility of discovering what it is you really love to do. So, to discover, there must be no fear of not surviving.

Only by going too far can one possibly find out how far one can go.

One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time.

Most look up and admire the stars. A champion climbs a mountain and grabs one.

A life without love is no life at all.

Spirituality means waking up. Most people, even though they don't know it, are asleep. They're born asleep, they live asleep,
they marry in their sleep, they breed children in their sleep, they die in their sleep without ever waking up. They never understand the loveliness and the beauty of this thing that we call human existence.

Never compromise yourself, it's all you've got.

You have powers you never dreamed of. You can do things you never thought you could do. There are no limitations in what
you can do except the limitations of your own mind.

Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to make more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier. The way it actually works is in reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair; the beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.

Once true love finds you, seize it and discard all that may harm it, as there is nothing more precious on this Earth.

You may not have perfect teeth, or a nose to ever match, but if you're smiling through your heart, that smile will be nothing
less than beutiful
