Use these sites to assist you in developing your projects for US History class. Many of the sites listed below were specifically created for the mini-series, or will have resources you'll want to use. (Click on the image or the link to load the page.)

March 15-16 2007: Students in each class will view the first installment of “Band of Brothers” (“Currahee”)

series resources
Home Box Office's official Band of Brothers web site includes information
and background on every episode of the series, as well as a reference area,
message boards, and other important resources. In addition, see the
web page for the companion documentary for "BOB", entitled, "We
Stand Alone Together"
(Note: there should be maps, photos, and other resources about all the "BOB" episodes we're using on this web site. However, you'll find a lot of other resources on the other sites, too.)
TIME
Education's web page for Band of Brothers includes several resources you'll
want to use, including "TIME Capsules" of various stories the magazine
used during the World War II years, links to the HBO "BOB" web site, downloadable
copies of the TIME Classroom "BOB" student guide, a photo gallery with
pictures of the members of Easy Company, as well as biographies of many
of the men in the company.
Read
an online discussion with representatives from TIME Classroom and HBO about
"BOB"! Find out some information about the series and the materials
you're using for your project.
See
the film "trailer" for "BOB" as well as hear selected clips from the soundtrack

This resource, Untangling the Web: Guidelines for Researching on the World
Wide Web is from the Close-Up Foundation and gives students good examples
and ideas about guidelines for doing web-based research.
Worried about how to do web searching? How to Search the Web: A Guide
to Research Tools can help. (Written by Terry Gray). (This
handout was provided to each group at the start of the project.)
Each project MUST include a bibliography slide. Look at this site for
information about how to correctly "cite" web resources. (Referencing Online Documents for History Reports and Projects)
This resource is a good one that examines various "Information
Literacy" issues, such as security and copyright concerns. It's
provided by the University of Texas.
This resource from the New York Times includes a lot of links for
various search engines as well as other web-based resources you can use for your
Band of Brothers projects as well as other research.
