What we'll do in this project:
Groups of students in your class will work together to develop a persuasive Power Point presentation. You'll research one of the Amendments in the Bill of Rights and try to convince the teacher and the "Archivist of the United States" that your Amendment deserves the title "Most Important Civil Liberty".
Project Timeline:
November 14, 2008: Project Announcement
November 17, 2008: Select groups and Amendments to research (when finished with
Chapter 19 test)
November 19, 2008: All classes meet in the LHS Media Center for Library
Orientation and preliminary project work
November 19-25, 2008: Classes meet daily in the Media Center for research and
project development
November 21, 2007: Hard Copy Briefing (groups turn in project folders for
preliminary evaluation at the end of their class period on this day)
November 24, 2008: Folders returned. Classes continue to work on
projects.
November 25, 2008: Last day for project. Project concludes with each
group demonstrating their presentation to Mrs. Wagler and Mr. Armes or me.
