Project Overview:

Students in US History and World History classes will view part of an episode of the Ken Burns series, The War, and create a Power Point presentation featuring the video as well as other US and World History events.  This project was first used at Lincoln High School, Vincennes, Indiana, in Spring, 2008.

 

Project timeline:

April 13, 2009:  Permission forms distributed (due by April 16)
April 14, 2009:  Project description pages distributed; topics and groups selected
April 16, 2009:  Permission forms due
April 16, 2009:  Groups with signed permission forms may check out DVD copies of their selected episode; notes sheets distributed
April 16, 2009:  Portfolios (manila folders) with project information distributed
April 22, 2009:  First day to use portable Mac lab in C-215
April 23, 2009:  Hard Copy Briefing.  Submit folders to teacher for preliminary evaluation (see project sheet for more information)
April 24, 2008:  Last day for portable Mac Lab.  All projects are to be finished by the end of class on this day.
