Avery's Horses Page

My dad and I have four horses.
We have studs, a  tobeoto, and geldings

We keep them at our friend's big farm.
I go see them and take care of them every weekend.

To take care of  horses you need horse feed, hay,  medicine, water, soap, and a tool to brush and clean them with.

To brush them down you need a brush and a curry comb.

We brush them to keep them clean and from itching.

We also have to trim their hoofs sometimes with files and other tools.

In the summer I ride the horses.

To ride a horse I have to have a bit ,bridle, halter and reins to help me make the horse go fast or slow and where I want to go.

I have a saddle so I
won't fall off the horse.
I put a blanket  under  the saddle so the horses shoulders and back don't get hurt.

I have gotten hurt riding a horse but I've learned to be more careful now.
I always get on the horse from the left side, and always move slowly and quietly around them.

I have  been a cowboy since I was four.
I will probably will be one for another 50 years.
