The highlights of the contract that will come to the Board in October for full ratification include:
-Two Year Contract
-Uniform salary schedule with dollar amounts beginning with the 2021 / 2022 contract. This includes a $2,000 salary increase for many on the salary schedule and with this moving the starting pay to $39,000 for the 2021 / 2022 contract. Some will see slightly smaller; some will see slightly larger increases.
-Starting pay for the 2022 / 2023 school year will bring the VCSC in compliance with the expected $40,000 state starting pay for Indiana educators
-Movement within the rows should a teacher be considered Highly Effective or Effective
-Return of Elementary Basketball for the VCSC Schools
-Stipends for the Indiana Center for Teacher Quality (ICTQ) positions
-Increase in stipends for the VU Early College Positions
-Teachers will move to $68,000 on the 2021 / 2022 as related to high-end; $69,000 for the 2022 / 2023
