As principal, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Francis Vigo Elementary School.   It is exciting to have students back in the halls and classrooms filling the school with energy and enthusiasm for learning and to be part of a school community where parents, teachers, and students work together to support the academic and social growth of our students.

The mission of the VCSC is Educational Excellence Everyday.  The Vigo School staff strives daily to provide students every opportunity for academic growth through rigorous instruction supported by technology.  It is our goal that students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to becomelife-long learners and build a strong foundation for their future success at Clark Middle School and Lincoln High School.

Vigo is a Title I school and receives additional funding for teachers and staff who make the thirty minute daily Response to Instruction (RTI)  time possible.  The faculty also includes special education teachers, a school nurse and school social worker to further meet the needs of students and families.

Vigo School is home to the VCSC preschool.  This class is available to four year old students preparing to attend Kindergarten the following year.  Further information about the VCSC preschool can be found on this site.
