Franklin Elementary was buzzing with excitement Thursday morning as the Vincennes University Men’s Basketball team made a special visit to connect with the 4th and 5th graders.

The players didn’t just bring their love for basketball—they brought a passion for learning and a lot of fun too!

The morning kicked off with players visiting classrooms to read stories to students.

In Mr. Gaines' class, things got competitive with a game of "Are You Smarter Than a 4th Grader," where the players teamed up with students to tackle tricky multiplication problems.

Across the hall, Mrs. Kirchoff’s class hosted a lively Q&A session. Students peppered the athletes with questions about basketball while the players helped them work through challenging math problems.

The day wasn’t all about academics—there was plenty of time for bonding.

When the lunch bell rang, the players headed to the cafeteria to share lunch with the students, creating memorable moments and new friendships.
