Amber Soderling

The Knox County Chamber of Commerce stopped by one of VCSC’s schools on Wednesday, where fourth grade teacher Amber Soderling was recognized as the Superstar Teacher of the Month.

Amber says she was in shock when she learned she’d been selected.

"This is an honor, and it touches my heart to know that I was nominated for this."

Superintendent Greg Parsley shared his appreciation for her work, saying, “Amber Soderling exemplifies excellence in education, and I’m proud to see her recognized as the Chamber’s Super Star Teacher of the Month for her dedication to Franklin’s students.”

Franklin Elementary School Principal Andrew Malone also praised her impact.

“Franklin Elementary is truly fortunate to have Mrs. Soderling as part of our school community. She embodies the qualities of a true educator. She is highly knowledgeable in her field, deeply compassionate toward her students, and committed to going above and beyond to support their success.”

Each month, the Chamber partners with F.C. Tucker and Culver’s to recognize outstanding teachers across the area.

"I am thankful for the community agencies and their recognition to highlight the efforts of teachers," Amber said.

The entire Vincennes Community School Corporation extends its congratulations to Mrs. Soderling on this well-deserved honor.
