Clark Middle School turned fitness into fundraising on Thursday with a schoolwide walkathon.
For 30 minutes, the entire school came together outside, turning a simple walk into a celebration of community, school spirit, and support for student opportunities.
The walk served as a fundraiser for the student activities account, which helps provide field trips, programs, activities, and rewards for every CMS student.
Together, students raised more than $600:
6th Grade – $170
7th Grade – $209
8th Grade – $235
“Our corporation has had great success with walkathons in the past, and we felt it was the perfect fit for Clark,” said Principal Tricia Hall.
“It gave our students the chance to be active, connect with each other, and build a stronger sense of community. Seeing everyone out there together was really special.”
To make the day even more meaningful, every student and staff member received a matching shirt with the inspiring message: “Be your best, be an Alice.”
“We had incredible support from our community to make this happen,” Hall added.
“For many of our students, receiving a shirt that’s just for them is a big deal. It’s something they can wear with pride — a reminder that they’re an Alice. We’re so grateful to everyone who helped give our students that moment.”
Donations are still being accepted to benefit the student activities account. Checks can be made payable to CMS, and both cash and checks may be dropped off in the main office at Clark Middle School.
