CMS College Fair

Students at Clark Middle School had the chance to preview their futures this week during the school’s first-ever college fair, held as part of College GO! Week.

The event was hosted by 8th grade students in the Prep CC class, who worked in groups to research colleges from right here in Indiana to universities across the country.

As part of the project, students created poster boards filled with their research and information, which they used to present their findings to classmates throughout the school.

Teachers also stopped by to listen to the presentations, including Principal Tricia Hall and Dean of Students Shelby McCormick.

College and Career Readiness Coordinator Kaleena McCormick called the event a success.
“Students were so engaged and curious,” McCormick said.

“They asked great questions and really showed excitement about what their futures could look like.”

McCormick and Prep CC Teacher Terrance Davis Jr. hope to bring the event back in an even bigger way next year, giving students more opportunities to explore college and career options.
