We'd like to give a shoutout to this week's Bravo Bulldogs!

It’s finally Friday!

Just a reminder that the Vincennes Community School Corporation will have an early dismissal today. All four VCSC elementary schools will dismiss at 1:00 p.m., and Clark Middle School and Lincoln High School will dismiss at 1:30 p.m.

Once that final bell rings, Spring Break officially begins! There will be no school all next week, and we’ll welcome students back to the classroom on Monday, March 23.

Reminder: The Vincennes Community School Corporation will have an early dismissal on Thursday, March 12. Elementary schools will dismiss at 1:00 p.m.

Parent-teacher conferences will take place during the afternoon. If you would like to schedule a conference, please email your child’s teacher or contact the school office.

It’s National School Social Worker Week, and we’re proud to recognize someone who makes a meaningful impact at Vigo Elementary — Mrs. Kelly Eck!

Mrs. Eck is a caring and dependable presence who takes the time each day to support and encourage every Bulldog.

This week, Vigo Elementary is celebrating Read Across America Week in a special way.

On Tuesday, Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum stopped by to read “Slowly, Slowly, Slowly,” said the Sloth by Eric Carle with our kindergarten classes.

We appreciate Mayor Yochum taking time out of his schedule to support our young readers and help us celebrate the joy of reading.

REMINDER: The Vincennes Community School Corporation will have an early dismissal on Tuesday, March 3 for Teacher Professional Development.

Elementary school students will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m., and middle and high school students will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.

We’re gearing up for the Rendezvous this summer and are currently collecting donations to help make our PTO booth a success.

The Vincennes Community School Corporation will be operating on a 2 hour delay on Monday, March 2.

All proceeds will go directly toward helping with medical expenses for a Vigo family.

Today is School Resource Officer Day, and we’d like to take a moment to recognize the Vincennes Community School Corporation Police Department! The VCSC PD does more than keep our schools safe — they build relationships, mentor students, and serve as trusted role models each and every day. Thank you to Chief Aaron Luce, Assistant Chief Cody Jones, Officer Kyle Evans, Officer Aaron Morris, Officer Kevin Porter, and Officer Joshua Shipman for all you do for our students, staff, and school community!

REMINDER: There will be no school on Monday, February 16.

It was Kindness Week at Vigo Elementary School, and our Bulldogs found fun ways to spread positivity throughout the building.

Students participated in themed spirit days designed to remind everyone of the importance of kindness.
