VCSC School Board sitting at Desk

The Vincennes Community School Corporation (VCSC) Board met Monday evening, with school leaders highlighting exciting student activities and recognizing outstanding staff members along with other board meeting topics.

VCSC Highlight of the Month

Riley's Wildcat ClubhouseRiley Elementary Principal Suzanne Corrona kicked off the meeting by showcasing the school’s Wildcat Clubhouse, a program that offers students unique learning and social opportunities through extracurricular clubs.

Currently, 11 clubs are available for students, including archery, healthy cooking, exercise, crafts, and more. To give the board a glimpse into these activities, a student representative from each club attended the meeting and shared their experiences.

One of the highlights came from the Healthy Snack Club, whose students treated board members to a special recipe they recently learned—Apple Nachos. These delicious and nutritious snacks were a hit, demonstrating the hands-on, engaging learning that takes place in the club.

"The goal is to build a community among all of our students and add even more excitement to the culture of our school," Corrona told board members.
