Career Fair

It was a busy Thursday at Alice Arena on the campus of Lincoln High School, as students filled the gym for the annual Knox County Career Fair.

More than 120 local businesses, organizations, and agencies were on hand to connect with students and share opportunities available in and around the Vincennes area.

Students from Lincoln High School and Clark Middle School, along with juniors and seniors from North Knox, South Knox, and Rivet high schools, participated in the event.

Throughout the day, students explored a wide range of career paths, learned about educational requirements, and discovered ways to gain experience through part-time jobs, internships, and work-based learning programs.

Employers offered valuable career insights, shared informational materials, and held one-on-one conversations with students about their interests and future goals.

Students who dressed professionally and asked thoughtful job-related questions were also entered into prize drawings as an added incentive to engage with employers and make a strong impression.

Lincoln High School students attended the fair in the morning, followed by students from other Knox County high schools and Clark Middle School in the afternoon.

Students asked questions, gathered information, and built connections with professionals from industries including healthcare, manufacturing, education, agriculture, law enforcement, public service, finance, and more.

The career fair not only introduced students to local employment options but also emphasized the importance of communication, professionalism, and career readiness—skills essential for success in any field.

The Vincennes Community School Corporation extends its sincere thanks to all participating employers and schools for helping make this year’s career fair a valuable and inspiring experience for students.
