LHS Students setting up Spirit Store

For the first time at Lincoln High School, students are running their very own print shop — designed, built, and operated entirely by them.

Students in the PTECH program and Life Skills classes have teamed up to launch a one-of-a-kind on-campus shop that blends creativity, hands-on learning, and school spirit.

Together, they’re turning ideas into real products while gaining valuable experience in design, production, and business.

The program’s debut pop-up spirit store will open Friday, August 22, 2025, at Inman Field during the Lincoln Alices’ football game against Evansville Bosse.

Kick-off is at 7:30pm.

The spirit store will open 30 minutes before the start of the game and stay open for 30 minutes after the game finishes.

Behind the scenes, students have been hard at work getting ready for opening night.

During fourth period on Wednesday, they did a full practice run — setting up their tent, hanging signs, and figuring out the perfect layout for tables, shelves, and merchandise.

Later, during seventh period, another group sorted and organized stacks of shirts, cups, hats, and more to make sure everything is game-day ready.

The teamwork and excitement were obvious, with everyone pitching in to make the store look its best.

Every item — from shirts and window clings to hats, cups, tumblers, posters, vanity plates, and more — is created start to finish by the students.

Beyond game-day pop-ups, they are also taking custom orders from students, parents, teachers, and staff.

All proceeds go directly back into the program, supporting its growth and helping purchase new equipment, like an upgraded poster printer.

The spirit store will be open at every home football game, giving fans a chance to show their Alice pride while supporting students who are learning by doing.
