THE Performance

Students at Tecumseh Harrison Elementary got an exciting and educational experience on Tuesday when the Bright Star Touring Theater visited the school for two performances.

Earlier in the morning, third- through fifth-graders enjoyed Pirates in Efficient Sea, a fun and interactive show teaching practical energy-saving lessons.

Later, kindergarten through second-grade students watched Peter Pan in Duke Energy Land, where they learned about conserving energy, sang songs, and even interacted with the actors on stage.

The event was sponsored by Duke Energy.

The program encouraged students to think about how small actions at home can make a difference.

Families can continue the lessons by requesting free energy efficiency kits, and the school with the most families requesting kits will receive $7,000.

Information about the free kits and conserving energy was sent home with students.

If your family wants a free kit, you can get one here.
