Hello and welcome to the Washington Learning Academy’s website. We are excited to be in our 7th year offering alternative educational opportunities to the students at the Vincennes Community School Corporation.

The purpose of WLA is to provide an opportunity for students to succeed in an alternative setting. We offer programs for students in grades 6-12 who may struggle in the regular school or classroom environment along with a virtual program for students in K-12.

We have several new staff this year at WLA, and each one is dedicated to ensuring that our students feel a sense of belonging when they enter the building and provide them with the best possible opportunities for them to succeed academically.

Our favorite saying at WLA is “It’s a great day to be a panther” and we truly believe that every day can be a great day at WLA for our students and staff. When we all work together, we know that great things can happen and goals that one time seemed impossible can become a reality.

I believe that providing alternative educational opportunities is important to our community and am proud to be leading this building this year. I am proud of what we have accomplished in the last six years and know we have a bright future ahead of us.
