Kindness Week

Kindness Week at Vincennes Community School Corporation (VCSC) is in full swing.

Students at all four elementary schools are participating in fun activities designed to promote kindness and create a sense of community.

At Vigo Elementary, Breanne Clark's first-grade class is engaging in a special project to celebrate the week.

The students are working on creating Kindness Books—a heartfelt activity that involves each student drawing a classmate's name and writing a book about what they like about that student.

The students are currently in the rough draft phase and will present their books to their classmates later this week.

In addition to the Kindness Books, students at Vigo Elementary are playing a game of Kindness Bingo.

The bingo card encourages students to perform acts of kindness, such as talking to someone new, writing a thank you note, or asking a classmate about their day.

Once they get two bingos, they can turn in their cards to the office to receive a sweet treat!

Students at other elementary schools across VCSC are also embracing Kindness Week with their own unique activities.

Many are showcasing the "I in Kind" through photos, spreading positivity with kindness grams, and filling up the kindness jar by completing acts of kindness.

The excitement doesn't stop there—Kindness Week also features themed dress-up days to add extra fun to the celebration! Here's the dress-up schedule for the week:
