VU BB Player

The Vincennes University (VU) Boys' Basketball team recently took a break from their usual practices and games to bring some joy to the students at Vigo Elementary.

The players visited kindergarten and first-grade classrooms, sharing their love of reading and spreading some positive energy throughout the school.

The visit started in Mrs. Kotter's first-grade class, where the players teamed up with students to read the beloved Dr. Seuss book Green Eggs and Ham.

Down the hall, in Mrs. Clark’s first-grade class, the players encountered a delightful challenge when the students couldn’t agree on just one book to read. The solution? A reading marathon! The players read several books, including Pete the Cat, My Lucky Dad, and If You Take a Mouse to the Movies.

The team didn’t stop there—they also made a special stop in the Life Skills class. Here, the players interacted with the students, sharing smiles and words of encouragement.

Lastly, the players visited Mrs. Morris's, Mrs. Valenzuela's, and Mrs. Norrick's classrooms, where they read Thatwick the Big-Hearted Moose and Green Eggs and Ham.
