Research Fair

This Saturday marked the 45th year of the annual Challenge Research Fair, a long-standing academic tradition that showcases the curiosity and creativity of Vincennes Community School Corporation’s elementary students.

The event brings together students from Franklin, Riley, Tecumseh-Harrison, and Vigo Elementary Schools who are part of the district’s Challenge program.

This year, 32 students participated in the fair, presenting research on a wide range of topics — from sports and historical events to science, pop culture, and food.

Their work reflects months of preparation, as each student selected a topic of personal interest, conducted in-depth research, and created a display to share what they learned.

Topics explored by students ranged from the American Revolution, natural disasters, and cancer research to skateboarding, sea turtles, video games, and the history of plumbing.
