Career Day

This week, all four Vincennes elementary schools—Franklin, Tecumseh-Harrison, Riley, and Vigo—welcomed a wide variety of community partners and local businesses for a special outdoor career fair designed to spark student interest in future career paths.

Several local businesses and professionals came out in support of the event, giving students the chance to learn about many different careers.

From entrepreneurs who own and operate food trucks to police officers, firefighters, EMS, linemen, lawyers, hairstylists, and farmers, students were able to connect with people from all walks of life.

Booths and displays gave students a close-up look at different tools, uniforms, and equipment used in these jobs.

It was a fun and engaging way for young learners to begin thinking about their futures and the many possibilities ahead of them.

Vincennes Community School Corporation and the elementary schools appreciate the time and support of the local professionals who helped make the event a success and encouraged students to dream big.
