The Vincennes Community School Corporation has a long-standing commitment to school safety, including years of working with local law enforcement to provide School Resource Officers in VCSC schools.

In 2024, the corporation took the next step by establishing its own dedicated police department. The Vincennes Community School Corporation Police Department officially began operations in January 2025 and has since grown to six officers serving across the district.

Today, the VCSC Police Department is dedicated to protecting the safety, well-being, and learning environment of every student and staff member. Officers serve throughout VCSC schools, building positive relationships with students while providing professional law-enforcement services.

The department works proactively with administrators, teachers, families, and local agencies to help ensure VCSC schools remain safe, welcoming places where students can learn and grow.
